Finished all 4 opponents on the ground
2 Pins, 2 armbars.
All under 4 minutes.

Crazy dominant Newaza

That final armbar was pretty cool too. All she had to do was stall for 15 seconds to take gold, but instead she put it on the line going for a big throw and follows it up on the ground for the finish.

She's a beast. Are you looking forward to her doing mma? She's so dominant right now she could get a 3rd goldl in 2020.

Her technique and power was amazing but the thing that impressed me the most was her intensity and confidence. She was ridiculously outsized in the final match yet she was so fearless and kept going for throws on her much bigger opponent. You can tell Kayla is super strong mentally.

She's going to MMA? What weight class will she fight in?

GROUNDWORK MAKES GOLD

Can't sleep on American ne waza. Pedro's said it many times, the US doesn't have the depth of talent in Judo that other nations have, so if we're going to win it's by being tough, in shape, and better in areas the rest of the world partially ignores.

This just in: IJF bans newaza.

Fantastic finishing, that's the way to win gold, leaving each and every one of your opponents broken on the mat, a total ippon loss.

Even more amazing, not only did she win with straight ippons in regular time, not one of her opponents scored anything on her, *and she did not get even one shido*. Absolutely ridiculous. Even Ono the killer couldn't match that record.

It's Gable-esque.

Cyborg will be older when Kayla is ready for that level of MMA and honestly if Kayla transitions as well as Ronda and the fight is USADA tested she could win anyway.
