hi guys , well i just saw the kataaro midnight blue bjj belt and i thought it looked sick ! has anyone here had experience with kataaro belts ? i think that midnight blue would look awesome with the shoyoroll navy skies

A teammate has one in purple and it is NICE. It is very heavy duty and really does make other belts look and seem cheap. Then again, it is just a belt but if you are interested in getting one they are very nice. I believe Meerkatsu did a detailed review on his.

It is like having concentrated awesome wrapped around your waist.

I have a belt made by one of Kataaro's belts, but I can tell ya, they're worth every penny.

The only reason I didn't go with Kataaro is because the company that made my belt happens to be in the Atlanta area. All things were equal other than that.

I had my purple belt made with four stripes, my name in Kanji on one side, and Jui-jitsu in kanji on the other. It is obviously a quality piece visually to not only you, but others. There is a distinct difference in appearance.

Even though I had mine done by a competitor, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be extremely happy with the purchase. You've worked your ass off to get that belt, a custom belt by a company like Kataaro would make you very proud.

Even their cheapest belts are high quality, the embroidery is fantastic, they manufacture them in the USA (Joliet, IL), they will custom-make you just about anything, and they are competitively priced with Eosin Panther. You pretty much can't go wrong.

Kataaro belts are really really nice. The run a bit wide for my tastes but the quality of materials and craftsmanship is very very nice. Eosin panther is very nice too. I got my Black belts from Isami and they are my favorite of the whole bunch, but the colored Isami belts aren't as high quality as the black ones, though they are still nice enough too.

I use an Isami belt and it was hand-made in Japan. It is great! You can purchase Isami gear at chokesports.com. They have very good service.

Definitely agree! Best belts I have ever worn.

For those with a Kataaro belt, which model did you get - the standard or the deluxe? And if you went for the delux, did you go for the soft or the stiff?

And Sloth, which model Isami did you get?

Hey James,

I got the Bjj belt in F-400 and I got a normal Black belt (no bar) in the F-700 (because getting it with the bar was like $15 or $20 extra)

I really really like both. The F-400 breaks in really soft whereas the F-700 is taking longer to break in and is a bit "heavier" and thicker.

I had a Kataaro Deluxe model for a brown belt for a bit. I only wore it once or twice before selling it on ebay because it was really stiff and the knot looked like I was with child when I tied it haha. I think it's because I'm a smaller guy. Big dudes probably wouldn't have the same problem. Great belt otherwise though. Well build, great materials.

Eosin is the mfg that I went with.
Like Noah said, you cannot go wrong.
