Anyone here following the Karen Read trial?

It is insane what is happening in the state of Massachusetts.

Link to catch up: Karen Read Gist

Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe was found unresponsive in the front yard of another officer’s suburban home on a snowy morning two years ago. He was pronounced dead shortly after, and his girlfriend, Karen Read, was charged in his murder.

Read, 44, has claimed innocence and alleged a far-reaching conspiracy among law enforcement officers to frame her in the killing.

I am no conspiracy theorist, but this case reeks of cover-up. Go down the rabbit hole and let's discuss.

So far, I think the Albert son, Colin was VERY involved in addition to Brian Higgins, the ATF agent. None of it adds up and this story doesn't make sense.

I've done investigations for more than a decade and a half, in addition to accident reconstructions for high-level attorneys/insurance companies...a vehicle in a driveway could NOT have done this damage.

Take into account a blizzard was starting when this happened, and I see reasonable doubt all over.

Let's chat!

Hmmm... So they have video footage of Karen hitting a car at home, which presumably explains the damaged tail light.

So why then, did she say "did I hit him?" After they found the body? Or do you think that chick that claimed Karen said that is lying?

Also, how do you hit someone in the head with your tail light? Unless they're crouching down it seems like a very low percentage attack.

Jen McCabe is the woman that said Karen asked that. She also googled "hos long to die in cold" before the body was seen/911 called

The defense has made a search on McCabe's phone of "hos [sic] long to die in cold" central to the argument of Read's innocence. Her attorneys say she made this search at 2:27 a.m., hours before 911 was called to report O'Keefe had been found in the snow.

It is the craziest case I have ever seen. The dead police officer's arms also have cuts on them that appear to have come from a dog. The dog that was in the home was rehomed before the investigation got going and had a history of biting people.

my wife follows lots of true crime stuff and she just mentioned this case to me yesterday. I did a little bit of reading up on it but it quite frankly didnt really move my interest needle much.
Officer Proctor confirmed

yeah, it’s a local case, so everyone at work has been watching the trial every day.

regardless if she did it or not (i don’t think she did), it feels like it’s pretty much a slam dunk Not Guilty for the defense based on reasonable doubt alone. will be very interesting to see what further investigations, if any, will take place once this trial ends & Karen is exonerated by the jury.

also, Lally fucking sucks. i stopped watching the trial live in my office because that guy makes me want to bash my face in. i can still hear what’s going on from the office across from mine anyways. plus getting all the tea from my coworkers throughout the day.

Damn fam she got Alan Jackson on her case she good he finna win over di jury fi sure bro's a legend 💯

Interesting case though real talks
lol

Your assessment is spot on, but fuck that's funny.

Lally is criminally terrible as an attorney. He might be the worst public speaker I've ever heard.

So @THE Red Beard what do you think happened?

There are a few possibilities:

1. The ATF agent killed the dude. He wanted Karen for himself. But it doesn't explain why he would frame Karen for the murder. Nor does it explain the dog bites.

2. The dog attacked the dude, maybe the dude fought back, then the dogs owner says "hey don't kick my dog" and things get heated and a fight breaks out, during which the dude is KO'd and dies.

I think we have a combination of the two with the addition of Colin. Colin is a shit head and was very much a trouble-maker/thug on the record. He had issues with John O'Keefe and it was made to seem as though he was NEVER at the house at the same time. Officer Proctor knew Colin through the Albert's family events he was at over the years (photos are out there from Proctor at weddings and so on and so forth) so having him grab an obvious angle to wrap up the case and keep the investigation away from his friends makes sense to me. Higgins did have something going on with Read, but he may not be in on getting her framed, but she may be the scapegoat in my opinion. It makes sense to me that he'd protect himself too ahead of Read. I will say, the FBI is investigating this particular investigation by the MSP, so that doesn't happen without significant smoke. Higgins also destroyed his phone in one of the stranger situations (he went to a military base to get rid of it). I think the dog bit John's arm during a scuffle with Brian Higgins and Colin Albert. I think Brian Albert (former Boston cop and known tough guy with boxing training) involved himself and John died by accident. They knew Karen was shit faced and not there so they set it all up. I don't think they wanted him dead, but accidents happen.
