How many times do we have to see examples of this?

Karate is barely a practical TMA and its definitely inferior when it comes to real combat.

Yes, certain aspects and implementations of some karate elements like the distance control and blitzes can be beneficial but overall not very much.

Michelle threw more front kicks then fucking jabs tonight.

    Let me offer you this,
She spent YEARS training and she doesn't even know how to properly set up a cross or get inside or, shit, do anything in the pocket, at all. It's comical....

She hasn't trained Karate for many years. If anything she is actually a product of MMA striking.

I am just happy if there was a Karate based fighter she used the nickname Karate Hottie. Could you imagine if Machida took it first? Lyoto "The Karate Hottie" Machida - we dodged a bullet there.

You also have to remember that she’s fighting outside her weight class. She’s a natural 105er, and that’s what she fought at outside ufc. Joanna is an elite striker, and when your Michelle who normally relies on your range and kicks to pick paper your opponent, going up against a bigger kickboxer with range advantage, who can put muscle you in the clinch is a really hard fight.

ON TOP OF THAT, even if she’s within her class Joanna is a very hard fight

I called JJ putting on a clinic the moment the fight was announced, tryna find the threat where I got into it with a poster.

Waterson's best win was KK who seemed to be on the decline already having come off a Brutal KO loss, and a split decision victory over Felice Herrig. The people JJ loses to are Valentina Shevchenko(who doesn't) and Rose who has some of the best MMA Boxing. There was no WAY Joanna was losing to her, and it baffles me that people on here conflate Waterson's looks with her actual skills, this is MMA, not a beauty pageant.

Yeah there's about ten thousand degrees difference between Machida's front kick technique, speed, timing and power, you name it he does it better. Michelle was throwing front kicks that missed by ten feet or some shit.

Its not just Michelle, its Karate in general.
Look at last weeks example, Bobby.

    Fair bro, you're right.
Karate wasn't the reason I picked Bobby over Israel though.

That's fair too, but if you knew how flawed karate was, that should've been a possible outcome in your head.

    Also respect the balls.
