Will be interesting to see if Kamaru leans on his grappling against Joaquin Buckley this weekend:
Buckley has the advantage of being 30% skeleton, 2% organs and 69% muscle. Wrecking ball of a human being.Colby managed to get Buckley down and keep him there for a little while in R2, I'm sure Kamaru will be looking to go grappling-heavy especially since he's slower, stiffer, and not as durable as he once was, Buckley is also just dangerous for anyone.
I'm picking Buckley to win regardless.
So, in training, he submitted a guy who fights one to two weight classes below him, and has shown no submission defensive skills in fights?
Awesome. Impressive.
"So, IN TRAINING....."we are talking about practice.
Not a fight, not a competition...
We talkin about practice.
Not a cage fight, where these guys go out and fight life and death.
Practice.
"So, IN TRAINING....."
"we are talking about practice..."
Huh. Guess I never would have spotted that without your help. You are very observant. Except in noticing what other people already mentioned in the comments you respond to, I guess.
Exactly. Practice, where they let you sink in submissions, to practice it.
And in this case, he's being allowed to sink in a submission on someone much smaller, with close to zero skills in defending submissions, as demonstrated in fights. And then, miraculously, he actually submits him!!
So, like I said. Impressive. Awesome.
I thought it resembled the A.I. thing a little, but it seemed pretty distant from it.
