Trump has settled for millions for running a scam university and conning people out of millions of dollars. He set up a charity and then used donated funds for his own personal purposes, and was fined millions for it. Candidates normally don’t declare they’re running until they have policies ready to go, and have ample time for vetting and refining them with the help their people.
Kamala had to jump in last minute and first secure the delegate votes for a nomination, then prepare for a convention as the new candidate, then prepare a list of policy proposals she thinks will define her campaign and win her an election, and it “makes no sense to you” that she didn’t just go ahead and rush something out in less than a month? It makes perfect sense that she might not have a policy platform on hand when the moment arose and she probably wanted to put some thought into one before putting it out. You don't want to throw something out there willy nilly and you certainly don't want to have to change it or flip flop once its out there.

Even if I we agreed on this, the actual policies that she put out are so middle of the road and basic that they could've been drawn up in a day or two. Doesn't look like 40+ days of work. Maybe there was a lot going on behind the scenes, but that doesn't help public perception. She was actively avoiding any and all media while her opponent was routinely going into unfriendly territory.

Were the social media companies forced by the government to purge their platforms of disinformation? I don’t believe that is the case and neither does the Supreme Court. Did the government communicate to these companies and informed them the platforms were being used to spread lies and disinformation that was detrimental to the public good? Yes, the government communicated with these companies but did not order them to do anything. These private companies knew their platforms were being used to spread lies and they made a decision to take action against that.

This was brought before the Supreme Court and the case was thrown out.

I think they know they don't have to do anything other than not be Trump and win pretty easily, so there's no actual incentives to do live interviews or town halls or press conferences or anything and take a risk of it not going well.

The only reason they kept pressing about what her policies were and the lack of interviews is because it was the only effective attacks they had. The ones about whether she was black or not and calling her a DEI hire only worked with the base and they felt the ones ready for when she released them or the footage they could use when she did an interview were going to be more effective.

They do not care what her policies are at all, they never did, and would never admit even if they liked them, either.

Tbh I'm not sure Biden was going to drop out if Trump didn't get his head nearly blown off lol. That moment potentially would have carried Trump to victory during campaign season, so they decided making the switch would bring new life into the party and campaign which it clearly did.
