If that's Gathje's gameplan we're going to see a reenactment of Barboza v Hooker.

And I'm OK with that. Maybe stop the fight a little sooner this time.

But his two losses were more exciting then 99% of the other UFC fighters are in their best wins.
He will always be a crowdpleaser, wich at the end of the day might be better then being the champ, because that became meaningless in the last few years.

? As opposed to what? Justin has very strong wrestling credentials. Other than Khabib, he wouldn't be overly worried about fighting grappling guys like Lee. Justin likes to bangl, sprawl and brawl and you should be thankful for that.

This fight is a pick-em fight. Gaethje can pressure Barboza all fight or Edson picks Gaethje apart.

Honestly, Gaethje is exciting as fuck. The UFC should have agreed to pay him 100% of his purse every fight, win or lose, based on that alone. People like watching him fight.

I think the UFC has a large part in that. I don't like it either. Wonderboy is doing the same things lately with masvidal, till, calling out lawler and Pettis...

It's annoying. I want to see different style match ups.

That said, Gaethje vs. Barboza will be fun

Gaethje can throw kicks in close range and even in the clinch, barboza can't.

He tried to get his win money guaranteed even if he loses? He really is a CTE specimen.

This is the difference between their kicking games. Barboza needs space for his kicks, Gaethje doesn't. Gaethje will hold a collar tie on his opponents and still be leg kicking them.

maybe not, the leg kick is a set up for a big punch. if he just stands there and attempts to leg kick barboza that will not work as he is faster. imo if he finishes him its via punches

Justin isn't looking at the big picture. If his streak includes Vick, Barboza, and Al, who can turn him down for a title shot? That's his path. Take out Edson, and call out Al after Conor leaves him hanging for half a year.

I'm equally amazed that anyone could have negative things to say about Eddie Alvarez, or Donald Cerrone, and yet .. such people exist.
