GOAThje will break him
I'm not going to say your wrong, because if its anything I've learned watching 20 years of MMA its that you never really know an outcome until it happens. I'll put it this way though, I've never seen anyone win a kick war with Edson. He loses fights but if its a kick war, he wrecks people's shit.
I really hope he vs' Barboza in a kicking match cause we will finally see a broken leg occur.
Please fight Gods, give us another Anderson Silva kit kat break.
If Gaethje pressures and uses hands then yea, he can beat Edson, but he says he's going to finish Edson with leg kicks. He better be trolling because if not Edson is going to light him up man.
You should never wish to see possible career ending injuries on a fighter. Its a bad look. We all want to see a good fight but broken bones is not part of it.
Gaethje doesn't use low kicks from the same range as most people, he will throw them in punching range or even from the clinch. I don't think he's going to try trading low kicks from kickboxing range, it would be a bad idea as Barboza is most dangerous at that range.
Its a great fight either way, tough call to make because both guys have the tools to end it.
I'll pick the stand up fighter who actually knows about range and distance not the wrestler who is a glorified just bleed guy who leads head first.
Justin needs to remember he is a wrestler first - use his strikes to set up takedowns and G-n-P and wear Edson out and then maybe start to make it a stand up fight.
If he goes in trying to trade with Edson right away his overly aggressive style is gonna get him torn up big time.
Absolutely, either guy can win this, I think who controls the range and pace of the fight will be the most important factors for who wins.
He can wear him out in the stand up, and the way he fights is the best way to go about doing that in a stand up fight. Barboza doesn't like to be pressured and have to fight in the pocket since it takes away a lot of his best tools.
Gaethje would likely be better if he used his wrestling offensively but I doubt he will, doesn't mean he still can't beat Barboza with his high pace and superior striking in the pocket(Barboza is the better striker at range of course).
Well this is a fucked up request...
I can't tell if you are trolling or some kind of fetish weirdo, either way I'll just ignore you.
Yes, the D-1 wrestler is scared of fighting grapplers. That's the exact reason why he fought the highly decorated WBA champion James Vick last time out.
I love that he knows he’s not there for the W or the L. He’s there for the violence.
No need for win bonus. Just a violence bonus please. JBG bless.
Gaethje vs Barboza is a must. It needs to happen.
I think your reply was meant for someone else because it has nothing to do with my post.
I think his pressure will serve him well... until he gets KTFO in round 2 or 3.
If Gaethje chin holds up then he will most likely break Barboza with his pressure
He needs to have some sort of takedown threat. Barboza doesn't deal well with a lot of pressure but if you add the takedown factor. He will wilt rather easily. If Justin tries to walk him down slow without watching out for any kicks, Justin is going to sleep early
Separate names with a comma.
