In this thread, we will accept Gaethje as the true #1 LW outside the UFC. Not Chandler, not Bendo, definitely not Thomson. For too long this man has been deemed a "fun, but sloppy brawler", despite his technical destruction of Brian Foster. He blocked effectively every strike (MASSIVE improvement in his defense), landed his leg kicks at will and got him out of there in under a round. He currently has more the effective and brutal leg kicks in MMA, with only Barboza rivaling him (don't say Aldo, he hasn't done shit with leg kicks since Faber) Gaethje is the only guy aside Barboza who fucks people up with leg kicks in EVERY SINGLE fight.
Expecting another easy knockout against Firmino, who is a very good fighter in his own right. Buscape simply lacks the striking to threaten Gaethje, who has solid TDD. People may expect it to resemble the Cobb fight, but I believe Gaethje will fight more measured given the late switch of opponents.
Hopefully this will be his coming out party on the biggest WSOF card to date (not saying much though lol)
