Honestly it wasn't that bad. From all the shit I've been hearing I was expecting a lot worse. Don't get me wrong, it was a beat down, but you have to give these girls a fair shake. If it was a guy fight everyone wouldn't be saying what they have been saying, plus Priscila was always moving trying to change positions so it honestly doesn't warrant a stoppage.

If anything the blood maybe made it look worse than it actually was. That all being said, great performance by Valetina. Looking forward to seeing her as champ at 125!

It wasn’t bad at all, yeah it was bloody but it didn’t look like she was out of it at all, just outclassed.

it wasn't bad but to be honest, i thought they were going to call it near the end of the first round when valentina was raining elbows down and priscila was eating them.

She just showed how high the gap in skill she have over the rest of the division .
There we have an undefeated Brazilian fighter, and here, we have the stunning Valentina Shevchenko. To take the '0' from Cochaires in that fashion was art

Lol, the chick was a drug addict and homeless like 15 months ago

It was essentially Valentina vs some chick off the streets

And the chick tore her ACL in the 1st round

the only person to blame is UFC matchmakers. whoever put that mismatch up wasn't paying attention when putting that fight together.

that was like watching some old Pride video where 150lb Japanese pro wrestler gets sacrificed to the Axe Murderer.

No, it should have been stopped at the end of the 1st. Not just because of the punishment she was taking but also because the fight was so obviously a mis-match that there was nothing else ever going to happen but more of the same. And even then the girl had her first tap ignored by Yamasaki. A fight is supposed to be a match, not a one-sided beating.

Yamasaki did a lot of damage to the repytation of MMA last night.

I agree. This shitstorm is ridiculous.

This fight should serve as a notice to all cornermen: Throw in the damn towel!

That wasn't so bad. In comparaison, Ronda/Holm and Ronda/Nunes were straight-out murders.

230 strikes to 3 from a trained MMA pro to a crack addict

Shit was disgusting

Might not have been the worst stoppage of all time or anything but that fight overall was pretty terrible

yeah i dont know why everyone is freaking out about it, it's better than a controversial early stoppage.

I agree. Priscilla was constantly changing positions and trying to defend. The fight could have been stopped right before the choke but those gnp punches were not that brutal.

It’s a fight night card. Why can’t i watch it on Fight Pass? Bummer

Was it that much worse than Velasquez Dos Santos 3, GSP Koscheck 2, Penn Sanchez, Penn Stevenson, Fedor Herring, Anderson Franklin 2, Jones Shogun, Anderson Leites, GSP Hardy and so on? I mean, I can see how it could be argued as worse but was it really all that much worse than all of those?

Don´t tell USADA

i wish the green bowl packers were in the bowl

I'll preface this by saying I missed the whole event due to a family emergency, so I didn't see the whole fight.

having said that, after watching the highlights and not really hearing analysts freak out about the ref, my first reaction to the 230-3 was exactly what you mention...where the fuck was her corner???

Yes it was worse because it was such an obvious mis-match from the get go. Of course, the mis-match wasn't Yamasaki's fault, but he's there to referee a match not supervise a punishment beating.

She was also a top10 ranked at FLW and 8-0 as a pro. Not sure why you left that out..
