    Hey guys

just wanted to say thanks for the information and motivation. On Oct. 1st of this year, I went to buy new pants, and had to buy 40 inch waist. I was utterly disgusted with myself and decided the time had come. As a long time lurker in this forum and the diet / supplement forum, and being a former 4 sport athlete, I knew what had to be done. I walked across the mall to GNC lol...On October 3rd, at 260 pounds, using the knowlege Ive gained from past experience and from this forum, I began a lifting/cardio, and diet program. When I went out for my birthday less than two weeks later, I literally had to hold up my new pants the entire time. My first goal was 20 pounds in the first month. Today is the 29th and I hit my mark. I feel so much better and am so motivated in the gym its rediculous.

Thanks again guys, will touch base again when I hit my next goal...220 by New Years!

Congrats on the success, and good luck on achieving your future goals. You should start a log.

Congrats! Keep working, you can achieve whatever you want- I'm amazed what I previously thought was possible compared to my current goals.

Good job. It's always good to hear success stories. I'd say good luck with your New Years goal but luck has nothing to do with it.

You see, this is why I do what I do. Helping the little guys. Or the big guys. You know what I mean.

Seriously, that's great. Start a log and keep it up!

thanks for the feedback guys, the small guys / big guys made me lol...I'll think seriously about starting a log...itd be hard to follow right now cuz I've had to start sleeping in shifts...I work nights so I sleep four hours in the morning, get up do my thing, then four more hours in the evenings before work, so ive had to adjust my diet especially...but i'll give it a shot...

If you start the log and don't keep up with it, no big deal. But you may find that the accountability, the advice, and seeing your progress over time makes it one of the best motivators you can imagine. Success begets success.

GNC charges almost double the price on certain goods then BodyBuilding.com. I think I've read some negative comments regarding BB, but I've spent a few hundred $$$'s there and I've got nothing but good stuff to say. Fast shipping, low price, free crap, and good follow-up customer service. Nonetheless, people around here recommend AtLargeNutrition, I think??

Planning is hard, but you save so much more when you do, be it supplements online or healthy meals at the grocery store.

    Congrats!

You're welcome. I believe I'm solely responsible for your success.

But seriously great job man. Boards like this provide information. All the information in the world means jack if you don't have the stones to go through with it. You should thank yourself!

    Congrats!

I also recently just had to buy myself new trousers. 8 weeks of doing SS and squatting three times a week, I couldn't fit into most of my old jeans- thighs and ass too big. Which I guess is a good thing.

    Right on, brother!

I've been on SS for about 6 weeks now and I'm seeing better gains that I ever did before. S&C Forum > most trainers at the Las Vegas Athletic Club.
