I can't believe how badly Wanderlei beat Dan Henderson. He dropped him with punches like 5 times. He took Dan down a few times, and mounted him twice. Sad what a shell of his former self Silva is.

One of my favorite fights of all time. Silva stomped him alot too. Henderson's stand up defense has improved alot since the early days

I honestly think Silva would have won via stomps had that ref not stopped him to bitch about grabbing the ropes.

This is what I honestly think happened to him...

I think he had Toxoplasmosis from Brazil.
This parasite will make men EXTREMELY aggressive and fearless. It will also make your hormone levels go through the roof. This is an extremely common parasite in Brazil.

Then he moved to the US, got all of his shots and treatments in order to move here. This probably killed the parasite and calmed him down a lot, resulting in the drastic performance changes we all saw in that short time.

I read somewhere Wand was sick for the second fight. But who knows.

In the second fight, 10 seconds left in the first round I can't believe Henderson took those 3 shots.

Wand was a fucking animal. I think PRIDE destroyed Wand as it destroyed Sakuraba. The incessant OW fights which neither man had business competing in.

I mean, Wand having two wars w/ Mirko and a all out slobberknocker with a then 300 lb + Mark Hunt just kill a guy. There's only so many HHK's and Atomic Butt Drops a man can take.

For real though. Probably the most vicious mother fucker ever and could dominate a fight and control the outcome. I miss the Wand of old but I'll always support him!
