This is one of the fight that i rewatched the most , such a great technical fight which doesnt get mentioned a lot here . I scored it 48-47 cruz with dom clearly winning the first 3 rounds and tj winning the 4th while the 5th was a close round but TJ edged it . Would love to see a rematch these days with Dom getting hsi belt back from TJ again .

How did you sherdoggers score this fight ?

I'll go watch it rn, so I can have an opinion. I'll even score it.

    EDIT:

Round 1: Dominick (Made TJ miss a lot, defended TD, and landed more.)

Round 2: Dominick (Again made TJ miss a lot, and landed 2 TD’s)

Round 3: TJ (He pressured Dom most of the round, and won with a lot of cage control)

Round 4: TJ (Very close but I’ll give it to TJ for pressure, and a takedown)

Round 5: Dominick (Pressured TJ a lot, and landed good shots)
    48-47 Dominick

I gave the edge to TJ. I thought he landed the more effective shots.

Close fight though, not a robbery either way.

Although TJ did more damage, there was a grappling exchange in round 3 (might have been round 2), where TJ was winning the round handily up to that point, but in the last minute got taken down like three times in a row, even though Dom couldn't hold him down and TJ popped right back up I've always felt like that moment changed the judges mind on the round and ultimately gave Dom the fight.

I do think TJ wins and possibly finishes Dom in a rematch.

You will be flamed. Sherdoggers only care about who is hot right now, and that is TJ.

Most of them will Now say they feel TJ was robbed, even though many of them said Dom won immediately after the fight.

I remember giving it to Dom back then, for a few rounds looked like TJ was hitting nothing but air, either way, it was a close one, wouldnt mind a rematch one bit.

    I had Cruz winning 123 and 5.

But meh, if you keep leaving it up to the judges you're bound to get assfucked eventually.

Scored it for Dom. It was close but I thought Cruz definitely won 1-3 iirc

    You can't afford it
I watched it live and rewatched once shortly after. Both times I was fine with the decision. Also thought Dom took the first 3 rounds and TJ the championship rounds. That said, foot injury or not, TJ had taken over and I thought he would have won had it continued further. Also thought his rounds were more dominant though nothing near 10-8 rounds.

Round scoring sucks, but I'd argue it rightly went Dom's way.

Back when I watched it I had it 48:47 Cruz via TJ hitting air first three rounds.

TJ was doing more damage but Cruz was the much busier fighter...not just busy dancing but actually keeping TJ on his heels. Cruz was effective and was beating TJ to the spots...IMO TJ has the much heavier strikes but Cruz has quantity. I don't think Cruz would beat the TJ of today.

1,4,5 for TJ.At the time of the fight TJ was hated by mostly of this forum and people were blinded by Rogan's commentary and the whole TJ-snake thing while simultaneously being obsessed with the corny comeback story that they didn't watch the fight clearly.

Only watched it the one time, but me and the 2 guys I watched it with thought Cruz won. Turns out we were right. Not the type of fight either guy could complain about losing though (even though TJ does of course).

    48-47 Cruz.

But 48-47 TJ is also perfectly acceptable.

A great fight - one of the most technical in the history of the sport. Two high quality operators at the peak of their powers.

48-47 Cruz. But TJ did more damage as a whole and Cruz was lost the last 2 rds and was limping. Wouldn't have hurt my feeling for a draw. Rematch needed sometime
