First off, the first round wasn't even that bad for Nate. Nate actually landed plenty of shots. They were pretty quick so many of them maybe grazed (too quick to tell). The 2nd round was the same, where Conor's shots never slowed down. The difference was him getting rocked and getting hit over and over.

At most, he gassed just enough to stop throwing kicks. (this is the only thing different from round 1 to 2)

His punches/combos and speed were very much present until the end. He got rocked for the 5th time and this time, went in for a takedown. He got reversed due to Nate's choke. Conor defended it because he still had plenty of energy.

People are acting like Conor dominated until he gassed - then got rocked. Fuck that. Rewatch it.

I never saw him gassed, I saw the constant barrage of Diaz punches slowly catching up to him.

I haven't rewatched the fight, but I said he looked knackered at the end of round 1.

He looked fine to start round two.

got hit hard a few times then went panic wrestler and gave up.

He didn't gas.
Once he started taking Diaz' best shots and couldn't keep it standing or he'll get TKO'd,he tried to take it down, then to avoided getting pounded he gave up his back, and then that was it.
Great performance by Nate.

Yeah rewatching Nate actually could have edged the first round. He was winning alot of the exchanges, McGregor missing alot. When Nate did get clipped he rolled with it. Again McGregor showed his poor defence, not only does he have slow defensive reaction time, sometimes he has none. McGregor will get hit then react, its like a old punch drunk fighter.

Second round McGregor went all out trying to make Nate break but he didnt. Then Nate turned the corner and pushed back hard. McGregor had the sheer speed advantage by a big margin but was getting beaten to the punch and countered by Diaz every time they exchanged. Nate started putting more weight behind his punches and cracked Mcgregor's chin. Flush shot made him wobble. He just crumbled after that no heart on the feet after his attempt to steam roll failed. Went for a pathetic take-down instead of falling over, got passed in to full mount with zero defence and fast tapped without even fighting the choke.

I thaught after the first watch he gassed out,but you correct,I just re watched it and I think it's down to all the punishment he took. The first round you can see the amazement in Mctappers eyes when he hits Nate flush and he doesn't seem affected.

Fanboys need an explaination for there fantasy shattering infront of their eyes.

Conor didn't look bad standing BUT he was clearly a lot more hittable vs someone with a similar reach and lacked the same power when he wasn't catching someone on the way in.

Yeah, Conor didn't gas. I just find it funny how Connor fanboys are using that excuse after saying Mendes couldn't use that excuse even though he took the fight on two weeks notice. They all claimed it was due to the bodyshots that Conor gave him that caused him to gas.

Conor looked fine in the 2nd round till Nate caught him with a 1-2 that pushed McGregor back, and after that he was never the same. Those punches obviously hurt him and Nate never gave him the room to recover then, Conor finally panicked and shot in for the Takedown against a superior grappler.

He actualy says so in the post fight presser
About defending from nate grappling but had nothing left and being inefficent
Bottom line he tried to put nate away and got both rocked and had blown his wad early ...dumb moves = dumb prizes

He came out swinging for the fences and looked slowed down the last couple of minutes of the 1st. Nate constantly landing punches also sapped his energy, so just how McGregor was partially responsible for Mendes gassing, Nate was also partially responsible for Conor gassing. But he was definitely gassed, and it was definitely a combination of poor game-plan as well as diaz fucking him up.

Conor looked great. He was fast as fuck and was landing bombs. He underestimated how much damage Diaz could take, and overestimated how much he could take from Diaz. He also underestimated Diaz's accuracy and mental strength.

He gassed.

Diaz was peppering him on the outside and McGregor got tired trying to find a way in.

He gassed throwing 37'000'000 strikes trying to ko this Hispanic gangster superhero with a chin built by the one and only NASA.
