Man Condit is a strong dude. Landed 3 times more strikes than Robbie, out working him in every round at a crazy pace (a pace that most fighters can't keep up with). Arguably won rounds 1 and 4. In rounds 2,3, and 5, Lawler had big moments but he was nowhere near active than Condit.

Anyway amazing fight, credit to both fighters, they sure have an insane cardio when you see the exhanges in round 5 (FFS !!) but i would have given it to Condit who worked his ass off for it and was more "convincing" in my eyes

Yeah, Condit outhustled him in that fight.

It was close overall, but I thought Carlos edged it out just slightly.

Robbie is the man but he's been pretty lucky when it comes to judge's decisions if we're being honest. I scored that fight for Carlos but I was a little buzzed and haven't rewatched it yet.

Condit deserved to lose.

The MMA Gods got it right.

IMO it's pay back for Condit vs Diaz. Just bleed god never forgets

Condit deserved to lose.

this. In big fights he does nothing more than point fight. I believe Robbie got the nod because he tried to finish the fight, and like the Condit/Diaz fight, Condit ran a lot. That never looks good to the judges

Agreed.

Condit already got a gift decision over Diaz, he doesn't deserve another gift over Robbie.

Rematch plz

hard to sell a rematch for a guy who's 2 and 4 in his last 6 at ww with his two wins coming against a guy who's retired and another who isn't top 10.

Condits best chance is fighting the winner of Kelvin and Big Rig, with the winner getting the winner of Lawler and Tyron.

Posts like this are why Sherdog needs to let you wasteland individual posts.

Lawler tried his damndest to lose that fight, but he's JUST SO GOOD THAT HE CAN'T LOSE

Man that is just two ways of fighting. Robbie was keeping his energy for the big flurries, Condit was putting pressure and scoring volume strikes. Saying that he "ran" is just not true

people forget that carlos looked more fresh in the later rounds than nick when they fought. Kinda crazy output for a guy that moves so much

LOL at all the salty Diaz fans here, just because Condit didn't fight the way you wanted him to you're prepared to say he lost based on "running", even though he outstruck Lawler by a very very wide margin, anybody with a brain knows Condit won that fight.

This.

Statistics are way too lopsided to be so controversial.

BJM who reffed the fight said he agreed with the decision as most of Carlos' strikes actually missed or were blocked whereas Lawler was landing. Also in round one Carlos tripped Lawler and didn't drop him according to what he saw. Personally I think it boils down to how you score a fight, volume or power. Those who say Bisping beat Silva must also think Condit beat Lawler. And as always bias kinda comes into it lol

The absurdity of calling Condit a point fighter is over the top. Condit has 30 wins, going to the judges scorecards......2 times. He should be champion right now and is more than a match for any name in the division, top to bottom.
