Looking back at many films you can say they sucked but at the time were viewed differently. The movie when it came out wasn't a 5 star work of art but movie goers were elated to see the 2 in the same movie together and see how the battle would play out. We got the answer. Some were pleased and some were not. At least it wasn't a snoozer like the Floyd/Manny fight.
