I don't want to bash the guy but he was technically inferior to two fighters that Conor beat with ease, showing much better striking acumen than both of them. At the same time, Alvarez' wrestling was completely ineffective and Justin is no Khabib.

So I can't understant all this Gaethje hype and "he shoulda fought Gaethje" talk to prove himself. It's another thing if you say that he was in need of climbing the rankings to get a TS.
We all know Conor does not need to climb anything or win a fight for the UFC to give him a TS. Cowboy was just a comeback fight and, although not elite, he is still a decent well rounded fighter.

So there should be no fear signing a bout agreement against him then? :)

Joe Duffy also subbed Conrat, fighters evolve, get better, fight more intelligently and so on.

This is why sherdog is better when Conor isn't fighting.

And Joe Duffey & Artemis Sitenkov crushed McGregor
People improve get over it...

It's all really just a matter of each specific matchup. This is why those rare fighters who overcome every opponent for a sustained length of time are phenomenal to behold (GSP, Jones, Fedor, etc). Everyone loses to someone. That all said, Conor vs Gaetjhe would be great, but most likely theyll be looking to put together some sort of championship matchup at this point, lame though that will be.

The clowns acting like Justin has anything for Conor will be the first ones to call him a bum after Conor makes him look silly.

I love Justin Gaethje, but he does the chicken dance in almost all of his fights. Imagine when Conor hits that chin, even with his shoulder... He's fookin dead

Justin is way too hittable and has taken so much damage over his career, his chin finally cracked too.

If Justin wrestles then it's an interesting fight but if he tries to strike against Conor he's gonna get countered all night.

People here will hype up Justin and ignore the facts, Conor will starch him with ease, then everybody will say Justin's a sloppy striker that's always been beatable. Happens to every opponent that fights Conor. They're elite fighters until Conor murks them, then they're bums.

You know how easy it is to make a nose bleed ?

Tell me, what did Donald do to convince you it was a "real" fight, other than throw one kick before turtling up and looking at Herb through his forearms, while he waited for it to be stopped by blocked punches.

What a farce.

It's ok though, now Canner has to face someone who won't take a dive.

Can't wait to see Poirier, Holloway, Gaethje, Lee or Masvidal take a steaming dump on his face.

Imagine thinking the Cerrone "fight" was real, what a bunch of gullible idiots we have on this forum, holy fuck.

Shut up nerd you sound like a flat earther

Anyone who believes this sort of idiocy is a putz who would break under 60 seconds of sparring or grappling. Go back to your cheetos, dimwit.

And any moron like you who believes this wasn't a complete farce would break in 5 seconds.

Enjoy mom's basement, gullible basement dweller.

People like you are the reason snake oil salesmen got rich back in the day. Don't forget that.

MMA math.....

However.... This is the next fight to make. Conor versus Gaethe. It would be a great fight and would cement a true number one contender for the winner of Tony/Khabib.

Bingo

Gaethje is tailor made for Conor's style and he doesn't have the durability of a Diaz

He's getting fucked up and finished in 2 rounds max.

Duffy defeated McGregor, Poirier defeated Duffy, and McGregor defeated Poirier.

Look kids, a retard.

Btw you do know that Conor already beat both Max and Dustin?

Justin got finished by two of Conor's sloppy seconds (Dustin and Eddie). He's got nothing for Conor on the feet.

Masvidal is the only one that's interesting imo.

Whether or not Justin has anything for Conor doesn't matter. If Conor wants that belt, he should have to beat contenders at Lightweight. That's what being a champ is all about. It's not about just winning that fight at the top because styles make fights, it's about proving your worth along the way. McGregor has already fought twice for the Lightweight belt without beating any contenders along the way, and he'll likely do it a third time.

Rankings aren't about who has the most chance of beating the current champ, they're about who is currently most deserving of that opportunity. That's something a lot of MMA fans forget. Maybe Struve could beat Miocic again, doesn't mean he should leap-frog right into a title fight.
