Just realized how cursed TUF 18 (Rousey/Tate) has been

The 4 finalists have 7 combined fights in the 2 years since the show. Holdsworth, Grant and Pena appear to have potential so it's a bit sad.

Chris Holdsworth: 2 fights, nothing since 2014
Davey Grant: 1 fight, nothing since 2013

Julianna Pena: 2 fights
Jessica Rakoczy: 2 fights and cut

TUF 19 is worse

Eddie Gordon, TUF champion, 1-3
Dhiego Lima, TUF finalist, 1-3
Matt Van Buren, TUF finalist, 0-2
Corey Anderson, TUF champion, 2-1

4/10 win/loss ratio. Only one of them has a win over a fighter not from their TUF season.

Holdsworth got injured badly. Sucks cause he is so young and surely could use that $$.

The concept is dead. When it was 2005 and there were like a hundred people across four weight divisions on the roster, it was easier to remember sixteen fresh new prospects, and since the talent pool was deep on the regional circuit, quality fighters were getting a shot through the show.

Now that the roster is inflated to 600+ over ten weight divisions, there's no way an MMA fan is going to have the same investment to go through character development for 32 new fighters a year + another 16-64 if you're keeping up with TUF: Mexico, TUF: Brazil, TUF: China, TUF: Canada vs. Australia, etc.

Major overkill on the concept.

What do you expect for the fastest growing sport on Earth? More kids do jiujitsu in the states now than soccer. Not to mention that many of these no name prospects may someday be champs. (weidman, dillashaw, dos anjos)

Not falling for it, Dana.

I mean in terms of how often they fight. Corey Anderson is really the only hope for that season, which is why his last fight was painful to see.

what the heck happened to Davey Grant?

no clue, for some reason I remember reading a thread on here about a big injury. He looked great on the show but too bad

This UFC is actually retarded.

After TUF 18, they sign Beal, Gorman, Holohan, Martinez, and Kakai, but fail to sign Hill and Wootten. You can't even make that shit up. Hill and Wootten were pretty clearly the #2 and #3 BW's on the show, and Hill proved it with his performance against Marlon Moraes.

Ronda stole all their power. She's a vampire. Just look at Baszler, Duke, and Marina.
