After the heavy criticism the commentators took lately, It feels like the UFC had a talk with them. Hence the toned down energy. They were not as giggly as they usually are, not as much random nonsense during fights, not as much "OOOH he's in trouble" when he's fine. Not as much jokes and not as much bias. Much more down to business and objectivity.

That's great. It's easy to shit on them after a event but i haven't seen anyone give credit for the improvements.

Hmmm. Can't say it felt any differently.

DC with the post fight rocket monologue sounds exactly like usual DC rambling dad monologue.

True that, he hasn't been annoyingly loud as usual.

Had the same impression during O'Malley-Almeida. I think they got the memo that they need to talk about what both fighters are doing, rather than just what the famous guy is doing.

I dont mind the giggliness tbh. Just the dumb commentary from rogan.

Anik seemed to be letting out considerably fewer random giggles. He also didn't try to creepily work in his usual references to fighters' young daughters.

Maybe he read the forums or somebody from the UFC or ESPN did and told him to cut it out.

The commentators themselves are great but I do agree that sometimes they'll go off track a bit instead of focusing on the action. Other than that I think they do a good job and I personally enjoy the synergy between Joe, DC, and Anik

I don't mind the giggles, the banter, the going off on tangents etc. What ruins it for me is when a guy gets hit, the commentators always go "OOOOOH". The F is that. Ok, if it's like the best KO ever, sure, you might go for an interjection since you're lost for words. But these useless fuckers go "OOOOOH" every single goddamn time.

So the commentary part is absolute shite. The chitchatting doesn't bother me.

There was blatant bias and bad paly by play in the fight between Young & Morales.
