Win 26–0 Al Iaquinta Decision (unanimous) UFC 223 7 April 2018 5 5:00 Brooklyn, New York, United States Won the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship.
Win 25–0 Edson Barboza Decision (unanimous) UFC 219 30 December 2017 3 5:00 Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Performance of the Night.
Win 24–0 Michael Johnson Submission (kimura) UFC 205 12 November 2016 3 2:31 New York City, New York, United States
Win 23–0 Darrell Horcher TKO (punches) UFC on Fox: Teixeira vs. Evans 16 April 2016 2 3:38 Tampa, Florida, United States Catchweight (160 lbs) bout.
Win 22–0 Rafael dos Anjos

Conor - dominated by a 5 foot 2 FW on 2 weeks notice
Al: Journeyman, great fighter but someone he's expected to beat
Barboza: Striker with no ground game
Johnson: Submitted by Elkins, striker with no ground game
Horcher: Who?
RDA: Also dominated by Colby and Usman way more handily, yet they're not placed on a pedestal the way Khabib is

Khabib REALLY IS unproven. This is why he NEEDS to fight Tony to JUSTIFY the hype. We need him up against a strong wrestler or someone crafty off his back like Tony to properly gauge where he's REALLY at in the P4P / All time greats list.

I agree with all of this. He needs to fight an elite wrestler.

An epiphany?

Weird flex, but OK.

The more obvious play would have been to point to the number of record-padding cans without Wikipedia pages that make up his early record.

He isn't just unproven, he legit sucks. Terrible fighter.

Al is a journeyman? You're an idiot.

So many elite wrestlers in the promotion yet all the champs need to fight one.

Khabib won't be a Goat until he beats Tony, GSP, or Askren. Or he defends a bunch of times.

McGregor sucks, I agree totally TS. Great call.

Similar to the WW division running from Ben Askren Khabib had a similar problem coming up through LW where everybody was ducking him.

MMA math doesn't work but you can't deny that Khabib should've finished Iaquinta.

Colby lost to a fighter who then went on to lose 3 of his next 5 fights...therefore Colby will forever suck. MMA math.

What does that have to do with what I said? I agreed with you. I just said that Khabib should've finished Al given how that fight went.

MMA math works when people don't use it to make connections that aren't there. Like the fighter A beat figher B who beat fighter C who beat fighter D stuff is just a misapplication. Context matters too. MMA math isn't perfect but if you were to bet on the MMA Math pick every fight, you'd win a lot more than you'd lose over time.
