Just finished the Witcher 3

Personally, the combat and sluggish, poor movement killed it for me. Combat system is 10+ years outdated.
Exactly, what's the point of all this stuff to do if it's not fun to do it?

I watched 30 minutes of gameplay on Youtube and the game is too story driven for me. I skipped through hours of gameplay and all I saw was boring dialogue. I just started playing Castlevania Symphony of the Night for the 5th time since its release. That game is 10x better than these games nowadays. That's just my opinion. I like playing games and watching movies. I don't like playing movies.

Amazing and beautiful game.

Morrowind will always be my favorite RPG of all time. Likely because I was in high school when it came out and it was my first TES game. But I loved TW3.

Amazing game for sure, so much content and side quests, they're almost all interesting too and don't feel like needless filler, almost too much content I'd say, don't think I'll ever complete every single quest.

I beat the main game, and been slacking on the Hearts of Stone expansion, started it and am decently far into it, but haven't gotten to finishing it yet, last I played I had just banged Shani, those sex scenes are becoming more explicit as the series goes on, pretty much softcore porn at this point.

So far I've probably put in about 130 hours if I had to guess, too bad the in game counter doesn't work, I'd love to know how much time I've actually logged.

I tried it on PS4 and couldn't get into it, same with the second one. I'd like to try it again someday though.

It's probably in my top 5. Really the only true "next gen" experience so far, IMO.

Agreed. I haven't played anything else in a while that really felt like it was a big step forward in terms of how the game was constructed, ts technical achievement and its scope.

Gwent = GOAT in game mini game

Call me a hipster asshole but it doesn't top W1 for me. Better than W2 doe

Biggest problem i had with it, was that it gives you absolutely zero reason to explore.

EVERYTHING get's tagged on the map for you, so you are constantly going from point A to B to C etc. beautiful world filled with amazing lore and characters - but you're getting hand held through the entire thing.

If i wanted a shitty example of an open world with mediocre combat I'd continue playing Assassins Creed games.

It's lore and characters kept me going though. probably my 2nd favorite universe behind Mass Effect.

I actually think it's one of the most overrated games of all time.

Sorry but bad combat = bad game, the combat is the core of the gameplay. It's way too inconsistent, sometimes I do the exact same thing but I die and other times I win. Its not the difficulty of the combat that is bad: its the controls, the gameplay, the weight, the consistency.

I'll probably try to get back into it one day, but I've tried several times I just don't like the combat at all. Since Dark Souls 3 came out with the best melee combat ever seen in a game, it's going to be even harder to get back into the Witcher.
