Just finished college, what should my career be in?

Just graduated from college, be a stripper cuz you're gonna have to pay that tuition back.

Male gigolo or stripper if you're in shape and decent looking.

In all seriousness, it's whatever you want. I graduated with a degree in Criminology and I thought I was gonna be a cop a few years ago, but life didn't turn out that way. I ended up working for a real estate developer in the marketing department, and now as a junior operations manager for an aviation service company. I'd say the path you choose AFTER college is more important.

Several of my friends went to get their accountant (CPA) certifications after graduation, which had nothing to do with their degrees. One of my friend became a wedding photographer despite having a degree in computer design. I also know a female classmate that had an English literature degree that became a hair dresser.

The point is you are young and options are open to you as long as you have the will to pursue it. If you got the drive, you can get into any field before 30. See what interests you, and work towards some professional certifications. Those get you employed and paid, not your degree.

I'd assume you would get a job...in the field...you just finished studying...from said degree.

I'd say don't get a job in communications.

Move to New York, work stupid long hours for mediocre pay, live in squalor for a few years, get promoted twice and transfer to the Fairfield office. Buy a nice house for 2x your annual income, marry a public school teacher, honeymoon in Belize, get a golden retriever, have a girl and a boy, send them off to UConn (boy) and Skidmore (girl), buy a sports car (American) and retire comfortably.

Sorry, not enough experience.
TS has 2 years exp. on record. Who knows how many years he might've been lurking, that's gotta count for something. For all we know he might be a 12-15 year Sherdog veteran.

Become a broker of some kind. Seek out a top dog in your area and convince him to mentor you.
Come on. TS isn't Charlie Sheen/Bud Fox, nor are we in the same universe as the Wall Street movie.
TS would be better off seeking a nice position as Book keeper at a Popeye's Chicken. They pay 35,000/yr and provide discounted meals.

I actually wasn't even thinking about stock broker when I wrote that. I was thinking real estate or mortgage.

Burger King is hiring

I have a master in economics and ended up in a shitty job. Like 15 bucks an hour. I am now back in school and work part time in a relatively low skilled job making 30 bucks an hour. And i kind of enjoy this job, except when some guy wants to stab me to death off course.

go to LA and become a porn star.

I misunderstood. My point still stands though, sir. TS is no Bud Fox imo.

Gas station attendant.

No, way better option. You and your girlfriend become webcam models. I hear they can make some coin and it would be fun to do your job every day.

Get the best experience you can now. Pay your dues. Gain expertise. High pay work life balance jobs come after you obtain market power in your field
