Health food stores are actually pretty cool, like alibaba caves of strange and exotic goods. Some of which are really tasty. Just be prepared to leave with your purse a lot lighter.

I like yerba mate, it's a little too expensive but the real reason I don't buy it more is that I rarely go to the store that has it.

In Uruguay and Argentina people drink more mate than coffee for sure.

We drink it hot (close to boiling temperature) but people in the north and Brazil drink the "tereré" variation which is cold.

Yeah. Pretty common here to share it here. It's actually a tradition since we are not sissys that get disgusted for sharing a straw.
