alrite this is the deal. i recently just moved out and got my own place wit my wife and quit the gym due to not being able to pay for the gym anymore. i recently just bought 200 pounds wit a barbell and curl bar at a garage sale just to get me started. i can do many excerises standing but i got no bench or squat rack at the moment so i'll mainly dealifting this light weight till i get more. does anyone have any ideas i can bench or squat safely at the moment? thxx

You know what never gets old? Threads about how to squat without a squat rack.

This also includes benching

Floor press, and SOHP should be the meat and potatos of your pressing diet

Power clean it and front squat it.

Do a search to come up with the thread on the same subject from like 2 days ago?

Just an idea

HERE
I found it for you. Some good ideas in there. As for the pressing, what Standard said.

well thx for the help dont have enough wait for normal deadlift so i'll be doin one handed deadlift on my sides

I had an idea on floor pressing. You could use automotive jack stands. You would have to be careful setting the bar back down on them because there is no backstop. I don't know if its ever been posted before. It seems like a good idea though. Some of them adjust pretty high.

Merrill you're not the first to have that idea... the jacks can also work for poor man rack pulls

ya i'll most likely be doin front squats but first i need to buy 60 more kilos

Let me get this straight, you can only front squat if you have 330 lbs? How did you become such a beast and still have to ask the question you just asked? If you had a bench, you probably couldn't bench anyways without 200 more lbs.

the thread title made me think this would be a mail order bride review....

2 sets of Olympic boxes, one set at top position, 1 set at bottom position, or just build some heavy duty saw horses.
