The movie won’t play for me . Last one I saw was 1917 and it was good. Have u seen that? I wish I could of brought my cat to the theater . Do you like to travel?
I have seen it! it was enjoyable but far from the best war movie Ive seen, tuck the little fucker into your jacket and away you go....or if the little fucker isnt so little....give him downers and wear him as a hat
hmmm thats actually a tough question.... IMO nothing rivals the opening sequence in Saving Private Ryan Apocalypse Now Full Metal Jacket Hamburger Hill Platoon are all great in their own right, I dont know that I have a top favorite, I'd definitely like to see more WW1 movies done, I think if they got a director that was gritty and went at it hard, they could create some fabulously insane trench sequences that would...or could...rival the opening one in SPR
Full metal jacket is good during boot camp then boring . 1917 much better . I think saving private Ryan is considered the best by most people . I’ve never seen hamburger hill .
On the back of a cartoon coaster In the blue TV screen light I drew a map of Canada OOOOO CANADAAAAAAAAAAAA
that sounds pretty crazy to me man some of the best lines not only in that movie but of all movies ever....come from the second half of FMJ..... How do you shoot women and children?? its easy...you just dont lead them as much! me sooooo horrrrny!! you got girlfriend Vietnam????? no boom boom with soul brother....too booku!
Agreed. I was actually a bit disappointed in 1917.. it’s not that it’s a bad film by any means.. it’s just very underwhelming. Mendes also steals ideas from other flicks to try and create powerful moments.. an example is towards the end when the soldier is singing ‘Wayfaring stranger..’ which the film ‘Cold Mountain’ did (much better I might add) with Jack White years ago
in all honesty I feel that if the other big movies around its time ((once upon a tim in hollywood and irishman, Im looking at yous)) had been better, 1917 wouldnt be as enjoyable as it was.....part of its enjoyment was that I wasnt watching some trife shyte that was an insult to both my sense of entertainment and creativity
lol it did impress me at times for sure...the cinematography was amazing, the filming effects on the crash were superb ...if I had to pin down one thing that would have made it a bit more would be the addition or adaptation of a displayed "I need to kill or be killed"mentality instead of the "im lucking my way the whole way" feel I got from it
