I have a hypothetical question.

If one is working out like a mad man, a fighters training schedule, if you eat a bunch of crap but also get the necessary nutrients that your body needs to grow...then is it bad to eat junk food?

My logic is that as long as you give your body all the nutrients it needs to repair and grow, then it really should not matter what extra crap you give your body. Especially if you are on a extremely rigorous training regime and have a metabolism that is high.

I know everyone on here is going to flame away, but I still am curious about how eating junk food is bad (I am talking about performance, not long term cardiovascular health) as long as you get the other "good" stuff in you. I mean if it is excess nutrients, would you not just shit it out if your body does not retain fat.

I'm not going to let this go, because I can't imagine you're this serious. But if you are, take a biology course or two. What you're asking is very similar to saying "well, as long as my car has enough oil in it, how could it do damage if I pour water into the oil?"
