He had fan friendly style. He had Nike sponsorship. Too bad his reign didn't last long. If there were no Cain he could be still champ today.

He could, and it's likely that he would. It's between him and Werdum, and if JDS hadn't taken all that punishment from Cain, I would have favored him in a rematch vs Werdum.

But, could have, would have. Or as the kids say: could of, would of.

He still can be a superstar, he's one of the youngest HWs.

he can still be, especially now that cain is out of the way

or just let him fight cain at altitude

jds is gonna take out werdum

Junior's rise was incredible. His win streak leading up to his first loss to Cain was nothing short of amazing. He could still get the belt back in the right circumstances.

Can "fence grinder" Velasquez put a stop to the train.

The truly incredible thing about JDS was he barely took ANY damage before the second Cain fight.....and he fought a lot of top level fighters.

This is a guy that stood with Shane Carwin for 3 rounds and was barely touched.

Bu then the second Cain fight happened, and JDS has been taking massive damage ever since.

A world without Cain would have been incredible for him. Not to ignore that he knocked Cain out amongst his reign.

If Cain never existed JDS could of been super star the 2nd Cain fight took a lot out of him.

and anderson would still be anderson if not for the chris

Heh, did JDS die or something?

There's been 1 guy in the division he had trouble with. One guy. And up until recently, it was the same guy everyone else had trouble with too.

As long as he never fights Cain again JDS has ample time and talent to regain his form.
