This is how I see it, it was weird seeing Junior like that but I think it's down to this:

-Too focused on defending on the TD. Juniors TDD looked amazing at the start, but I think he was only concerned about stopping the TD and didn't consider the threat Cain posed on the feet. Maybe Junior was too confident in being able to outland Cain on the feet that he forgot that although Cain is very hittable, his standup game is still solid and not to be taken lightly. This led him to getting caught with that big shot and it was pretty much it from there. Add to that the pressure that kept Junior backing up he couldn't really get going.

Junior showed great resilience to keep going and Cain showed determination after the first few failed TD's.

Well done to both guys.

What do you think?

Agree, his TDD was excellent, until Cain dropped that chingazo on him

He looked phenomenal to start the fight. I've never seen Cain struggle to get a takedown before. That punch changed everything. JDS was wobbly for the next 2 rounds just from that hit lol definitely didn't see that coming. Very impressive performance by Cain.

im just laughing at alll the cain haters who said dos santos would knock him out again...just LOL LOL LOL LOL

Sounds about right

honestly didnt think cain would have anything for jds tonight but i was wrong

jds is still dangerous i wonder how many people are going to try the same gameplan and succeed.

JDS' defensive standup is not nearly as good offensive striking. We have seen this phenomenon with CroCop, Arlovski,...

Yes it shows that JDS. TDD is not a myth. But Cain stick to the GamePlan even though he is getting stuff he still tried shooting for the TDs even it is a bit slopy and way outside that way it makes JDS defend all the time and get busy. This is what Cain have done in the first fight.

Just calm down dude, i watched the fight with 6 friends (casuals) and they all agreed JDS would win a rubbermatch just because of the fact that he was still able to nullify Cain

Cain looked like he was ready to go out on his shield from the opening bell, much respect/
