They're right if you watch the video but their analysis doesn't fit the idea of jumpshots win championships. Thorpe basically talks about how Teague is the Hawks best player despite being a bad jump shooter because he can slash and play defense.
They're conclusion is no different than Red Auerbach's back in the 50s. Shots without defense on average are better with shots with defense. Teams throughout history have been figuring out ways to get open shots and prevent other teams from getting open shots. This is just a new flavor of that and it is on the heel of the first real iso dominant offense since the 40s, so people think it is novel.
