Media Julianna Pena almost stormed the cage following Amanda Nunes' retirement

She kinda low class and wild.

If Pena can go on an absolute streak, going 1-1 with Amanda isn't a bad way to start it.

Being annoying can grab headlines, so....whatever.
Yes her idiocy grabs headlines, but lets just be clear, that this isnt some smart marketing campaign. She's dumber than a sack full of Titos.

She only has 3 losses and they are to people that held titles.

You said: "She isn't even a top 5 womens MMA fighter let alone the best "warrior". She is basically Kevin Lee but got the belt for 1 fight."

Calling her Kevin Lee is definitely saying shes a bum.

Kevin Lee has only lost to T Ferg(Interim belt), RDA (LW Champ) and Charles (4-1 against the top 5 at LW and former champ with multiple defences), Al Iaquinta (Khabibs opponent for the belt) D Rod and Leonardo Santos. The comparison is pretty good to be honest considering he has fought between the 2 most stacked divisions and hasn't lost to anyone outside the top 10 especially at 155.

Kevin Lee isn't a bum, he just isn't the top mens "fighter" either.

well if theres something positive to take from all this, she does have nice skin<Goldie11>

I almost want Amanda to hold off on retirement for one fight and beat her ass again.

Would have been a bad mistake lol.

Nunes is a sweetheart and all that, but I think she'd lose her fucking shit and go right into kill mode if Pena came in and got aggressive while her little daughter was in there.

Nunes went easy on her in the rematch and just fucked around with her for 5 rounds. That sort of thing's safe for Pena. There's a ref and all that there. In real life though, Nunes would slaughter her with laughable ease.
That would be a bad mistake on Nunes part, actually, because losing her shit and swinging for the fences and brawling with a tenacious brawler is why she got beat into submission the first time around.

Nunes way of beating Pena is by picking her apart and coming out in southpaw and fighting patiently. Not by "losing her shit"

"I let her have my moment"? That Freundian Slip right there says it all. Her coach told her to be classy. Had to be told to be classy....

Nunes lost the first fight because she gassed after throwing bombs for over 3 mins straight in a fight she barely prepared for, and a against an opponent she didn't take seriously.

If Pena jumped in there, no mouth guard or anything and seriously pissed her off, Nunes would be unloading on her with bare knuckles, if not just dragging her to the ground and butchering her.

Probably would have been the coolest things she's ever done

Yall can talk all the shit about her that you want, but she's the most interesting woman in WMMA, she's moving the needle.

I dont even like WMMA for the most part and skip 99% of it, but right now, Juliana is that girl round here, as if the 10 or so new threads made about her in the last day or 2 alone don't prove it.

Right. So she lost in a brawl.

And then she came back in the next fight reworking her entire stance for the entire camp to avoid going orthodox to escape the slipping jab.

So basically, she needs a ton of prep and discipline, and composure to keep Pena away for her 5 rounds. Not put her away, but keep her away. And still walks away looking lumped up on crutches

And if she wouldve butchered her on the ground, she wouldve been able to finish her on the ground in both fights considering she had 15 minutes of top control time between both fights combined. Most of the ground shots she landed were slicing elbows and there was a lot of stalling mixed in with penas submission attempts. She was not pummeling her with fists on the ground the way she did Zingano, who also survived, and came back and literally wouldve killed Nunes if judges werent around

Those elbows cause lacerations and its a lot of blood but its not some brain damaging sensation that fans like to make it out to be. So yeah, given that nunes was on top of her for 15 minutes, i wouldnt bet on it

Its been shown already that Nunes needs to fight extremely calculated, tactical, and intelligent to keep Pena away.

Theres a reason finishes in the ufc are more definitive. It means you would literally be dead without refs. Getting judges involved means youve been winning for the past 25 minutes...not that you would continue doing so. Street figut rules, nunes is already in the coffin

You can't compare Nunes preparing for a potential 5 rounds with a gameplan vs her using everything at her disposal to destroy a weaker girl who is less skilled and physically weaker than her in every area.

She already proved she can take her down at will. She's not going to throw on some gloves and exchange shots for 3 straight minutes on the street.

Street fight rules Nunes gets on top easily and throttles Pena to death, gauges her eyes out, or just slams her head against the ground until it cracks like an egg.

Yeah she was getting ready to storm the cage and start a scissoring session

How is that a Freudian slip?
Pretty sure she meant to say, "I'll let her have her moment" instead of "my" moment. I mean, Nunes just won her fight that had nothing to do with Julianna. Her slip says it all. Julianna is a Narcissist. Her coach had to remind her to be classy because she is the exact opposite. I tried to like her as a fighter because I'm a fan of Miesha, but I just can't get behind her attitude.
