In a Friday night video interview on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher questioned Assange about the Democratic National Committee leaks that were released the week before the Democratic convention.

Maher noted that WikiLeaks has not released anything hacked from the Trump campaign. The conversation prompted Maher to ask "why don't you hack into Donald Trump's tax returns?"

"Well, we're working on it," Assange said.

Is everyone comfortable with hackers playing a role in the election?

Transparency at the government level to the people whom decide who makes the rules for them is fantastic. Corruption and favors behind closed doors, tax returns, ect.

These leeks should not compromise any soldier or CIA agent's life or well being however. That to me is where the line is

Good luck. Trumps tax schedule would be so complex I doubt most people could even comprehend what they were looking at.

Since all of the candidates personal information should be brought to light, shouldn't we ask to see Hillary Clinton's medical records?

Reporters asked Ron Paul to release his medical records during the 2012 presidential primary. Hillary Clinton has had severe head trauma, and may have had a seizure on camera. If Hillary Clinton wants the American people to trust her with the job of president, the American people need to be able to trust that she is healthy and fit for the job.

I am a bit curious about this, as if I remember correctly (could be wrong), one of the reasons Clinton used to step down as Secretary of State was her health. She had a blood clot which was found during an examination due to her fainting from dehydration and a viral ailment. Then she was 100% health afterwards. :p

The politicians feigning outrage over Wikileaks reminds me of this metaphor:

A cheating husband (Debbie and the DNC) leaves his personal laptop open with the email account still open. His wife turns on the computer, and sees his emails are open, she looks into his emails and finds out that her husband is cheating on her. Rather than the husband admitting the greater mistake of infidelity, the husband shift the blame to the wife saying "What were you doing looking through my computer, how deceptive and untrustworthy of you!"

The Democratic party leadership is outraged at how the leak got here, rather than the truth revealed in the leak.

I wish these hackers would just let our leaders lie to us so we can be ignorant of their corruption and deception. #stop interfering with our rigged elections!

How about Wikileaks hacks the Swedish police and releases the report on Assange sexual assaults?

Haven't they already been released? I remember reading that he was arrested for sex that was consensual, but the police called it "sex by surprise" so everyone rolled their eyes and agreed it was a contrived charge for Americans to get their hands on him.
