I like Castro, but I don’t see him lasting long. Might build enough recognition to be considered a V.P candidate though.

I figure its about this too. He probably is hoping someone like Biden wins.

He also has the most to lose if Beto enters the race and I think he will. I think that’s why he’s jumping in early.

Dems have some rising stars in Texas. That's got to be concerning for the GOP.

Being Hillary's VP candidate reject doesn't make someone qualified to be President.

Like I said in another thread, Castro got bit by the power and attention bug, and he wants another taste.

Electing a president with the name Castro is almost as bad as electing a president with the middle name Hussein.

You realize her was in that listing for his accomplishments prior and he isn't known for being a VP prospect? He was Mayor of San Antonio and Secretary of HUD. I agree those aren't good qualifications for running for president and he clearly is just doing it for a stronger appeal for VP this year compared to 2016.

No. No more corporate Dems and no more identity politics. Ever since the Obama thing the neolibs have been obsessed with getting all these "firsts" and use them as a way to ignore talking about policy. This is why we have Trump cause Hillary ran a campaign about how peeing sitting down qualified her to be President. People liked Obama's campaign because he actually talked about policy fact he was black and history was being made was bonus. People never learn:(

Hussein, Beto, Castro, Rashida, Ocasio-Cortez. That's the first thing they look for in how the Democrats and media pick their stars
