What would you suggest as a good quality book that covers the history, ideas, and tech of judo?

I just got a book from the library, seems pretty good, infact it is Swedish named Randori Judo by Anders Wiberg, it covers from white to black and will be useful for me becasue it had variations on techniques I already now

Kodokan Judo by Jigoro Kano is what i always used....the pictures are old but its descriptive of everything you should know.

Best book about judo are :

Vital Judo 1: Tachi waza
Vital Judo 2: Ne waza

Of ISAO OKANO

Those book are pure Gold, made by one of the BEST Judoka of all time

Other than that , there are some good book.
Kashiwazaki ones for newaza, and the masterclass series ones for both.

The Canon of Judo seems to be well regarded, but a caveat here: Make sure you get the more current edition. I picked up a copy of the first edition off Amazon and the translation into English is SO poor that it's very difficult to understand what he's talking about. If anyone else on the board has read that edition, I imagine that they'd second my opinion that it borders on the incomprehensible at times.
