A man who raped and assaulted at least 40 women has been ordered to live in a remote California community, despite objections from residents there.

Christopher Evans Hubbart, who police believe may have had as many as 100 victims, will rent a small house in a rural area near the city of Palmdale.

I dont understand how his sentence was only for 16 years. DA tried to stop his release but the courts didn't comply. A fine job by California.

He admitted raping and assaulting about 40 women between 1971 and 1982, when he was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Police believe the number of victims to be closer to 100.

Released on parole in 1990, he was arrested two months later for a new attack and returned to prison until 1996, when he was transferred to a state mental hospital.

Doctors there recently concluded he was fit for release,

Should have been castrated before leaving at the very least.

He should rape the judge and the others responsible for the release. Then later on be killed by a serial killer.

Ugh. 32 years of incarceration. All the lives he's ruined. This whole thing is awful, I hope the doctors are right and he's "cured".

I think he is gonna get killed by some resident of that County.

There are many documented cases of serial killers who could have been stopped early except that mental hospitals deemed they were safe to release into society.

not a chance. sex offenders are the least rehabilitatable offenders

these are the people who should get stoned over in the middle east. maybe we can trade dudes like this for oil

Palmdale is an aerospace hub. Maybe he'll get sucked into a jet engine.

The only cure for scum like him is high speed lead injection.

Hopefully his house gets burned to the ground with him inside it.

California is a blue state, so have no worries--he's been rehabilitated.

Meanwhile there are people serving life for much less relative to what this guy did under California's three strikes law. Oh, you sold a few bags of weed? Too bad you didn't rape a few dozen women instead.

Edmund Kemper springs to mind.

crazy ain't it

and most times these fucks are protected in prison by staff, kept away from harms way and the natural course of life in prison

I say send him to that farm in Washington state that has horses that will fuck you till you die from internal rupture
