Looks set to be at the o2 Arena in london April 1st, however despite this being all over the media, nothing official from Hearn yet.

I saw him box tai tuivasi in Melbourne yesterday ago. He was one AJs sparring partners for usyk iirc as he is a southpaw. Might be a bit like fury v chisora. I.e Getting a good pay day for a mate.

Aj needs a crushing knock-out to regain trust in his power. Good move

Let’s hope this doesn’t happen! No fuckin interest in squash matches even if Joshua is coming off of 2 losses. Someone like wallin would be a good comeback fight. At least someone in the top 20, not a padded can

Agreed.

Maybe needs to test out things with his new coach Derrick James. But still... an elite athlete like AJ, who's injury free and experienced enough, shouldn't need a lower ranked opponent in order to put things to the test.

true, but then again AJ doesn't really take many squash matches. i think he's maybe earned one after losing twice to usyk.

usyk x2, pulev, ruiz x2, povetkin, parker, takam, klitschko. that's a god damn solid lineup for 9 consecutive fights.

I will not watch anymore mismatches or tune up fights. However, I give AJ a pass after getting his world shattered by Usyk while still looking great. He needs a confidence boost if he wants to go after a potential Fury Usyk winner & prolong career.
If he loses to Joyce, Wilder, or Hrgovic its over for him. It doesn't really speed up his timeline for for another shot if he wins any of those too.

AJ has fought the overall toughest comp out of them all. Time for some tune-ups. Both for him & to keep him relevant in the public eye as a dominant KO machine.

Nah, he needs rebuilding. He basically had a nervous breakdown at the end of his last fight.

True, but is it really a good idea to lose to Usyk, and then fight some random dude nobody has heard of, and then go back to fighting someone in the top 5?

Unless you mean he should take multiple fights against people he should beat to try rebuild and then go back to fighting the top guys after that.

Good lord, it could get worse...

he needs to be built again like many have said

remember Lewis fighting Justin Fortune and Lionel Butler....same thing, he doesnt need to fight someone who might beat him

AJ is still in his prime and could spark a guy like James Franklin. The experience of game planning for a dangerous opponent is on AJ's side.
