There's really no controversy here.

Josh said that Bellator offered a better deal. Dana said they didn't want to match Bellator's deal. Josh signed with Bellator.

End of story.

the ufc didnt want to sign him. which is why he signed with bellator so fast. remember they have a period of exclusivity before he is a free agent. that period is a month. this was less than a month.

I think both are telling the truth.

I'm sure the UFC was trying to re-sign Josh, just not very hard. I'm guessing he was offered a pay cut. With the new Reebok deal, I'm sure it was very easy for Bellator to scoop him up.

Not sure why they would break the bank to sign him...
