If not for all the other immediate rematches i would say give it Frankie, but if Ronda, Cain and Weidman get rematches, so should Aldo

Frankie than Aldo. I like ya Aldo but you had to pull out of the first fight with an injury, you got KOed in 13 seconds and wanted more time than the short-notice fight.

And as a fan I don't hold those things against you. But it does affect things as nobody else has gotten a full camp chance in a long time now at FW other than you. And Frankie more than earned his chance. He did enough before Mendes.

(And I know Aldo isn't reading this, not sure why I wrote it like it was to him!)

Good for him, but he is wrong. Edgar has earned this. Give him Holloway, or at least Bermudez. I feel like he needs to win a fight before getting a rematch. Just my opinion.

Let's check the facts: The above gif happened, while Frankie sliced through several of the best featherweights on the planet, culminating with a first round, one punch KO over Chad Mendes, outdoing both Aldo and McGregor's performances against Mendes. Also, McGregor vs Edgar would likely sell better.

Edgar was given an immediate rematch when he lost the title to Henderson.

Then, after losing that rematch, he was given an immediate title shot against Aldo at 145.

Which he lost.

For Edgar to now begrudge Aldo getting the rematch against Conor, or to claim that he isn't being treated "fairly" by the promotion, just sort of shows you the character and class of Frankie Edgar. The guy is shameless I guess.
