Jose Aldo is the most under appreciated and most disrespected UFC champ of all time

The man hasn't lost a fight since 2005, he's won 18 straight fights with 9 of those being FW title defenses, and he's right now the P4P best fight striker and best fighter in MMA. And still the man gets no respect from "fans" of the sport or from Dana White.

The man has no fear and has fought and defeated every opponent put in front of him in the last 10 years. Dana put the entire blame on Aldo for getting injured @ 189, and he be littled Aldo for leaving his lame Go Big press conference because he was the best man in one of his friends wedding.

Also, happy belated birthday to the greatest FW fighter of all time. He turned 29 yesterday.


For those who think it's MM, let's look at the stats:

MM loss 4 years ago and arguably loss 3 straight before dropping down in weight. He's also defended the title against 3 fighters who has no business being on the main card let alone the main event.


ALDO IS NEARLY UNDEFEATED FOR A DECADE - Fedor territory
ALDO HAS DEFENDED HIS TITLE 9 TIMES - Anderson & GSP territory
ALDO HAS WON 18 Straight - more than GSP, Jones, Big Nog, Hendo and the list goes on.

His fights are boring. The only good fight of him so far was against Mendes. He's way worse than MM when it comes to good fights.
 
To be fair, every fighter has such a large share of haters that are undeserved. Welcome to the 21st century and the haters it brings.
 
It's the Suredawg way ... Everyone is only good until they lose. When they start losing, they were never that good. If they're consistently good their competition was never that good. No one ages. Primes don't exist. Chins don't fade. Athleticism doesn't wane and everything remains the same.

You lose once, you're bad. You're not the champion, you're fodder. You're the champion, you're nothing because some loud mouth braggart who's done less is winning fights and calling you out.

It's as if 12 year olds only post on this forum, lol.
 
I think he get's the respect he deserves but ever since the mgrgeor saga he has just been overshadowed. In other words before mgrgeor became a thing people were giving him respect but then mgrgeor appeared and the 189 fiasco.

EDIT: yah and White's the definition of a piece of shit human being. What he did to GSP at the press conference was fucking disgusting.

if you were a mod, how would you do this? better yet, how about examples? what is borderline below fighter bashing (not quite warning-able) and what is just over that threshold?

MM would be my #2 and here's why, he arguably loss to McCall and Torres before losing to Cruz and dropping down to Flyweight. He's also defended the title against 3 fighters who had no business being in there. Aldo has defeated every killer and every top contender thrown at him and he still gets disrespected by the UFC and fans.

MM just doesn't get love from the fans, he's heavily loved by the UFC.

It's his own fault, nobody else made him bail on like 8 title fights, the most recent being one of the largest promoted fights in MMA history.

then you have things like the fence grabbing, the KZ fight, talking about using IV's after they are banned, etc. He's not a good person no matter how much you dream him to be. Is he a skilled fighter? Yes, but that is about the only good thing I would have to say about him.
 
I like ALDO a lot. Always have. But his head is gone. He's going to lose badly against Conor.
