This would be a damn crazy fight, who would prevail and what would be their moneymaker?
I'd love to see this fight and the smack talk leading up to it
Good fight, Masvidal probably, i feel like Tony is one good punch away of being KO'd.
This thread is to blame if Tony vs Khabib gets cancelled again, imo.
155 tony wins, 170 masvidal wins ...
I ve been hearing that since 2012 ...
Tony gets tagged in the first but takes over with his awkward lazer like jab and drowns Jorge.
Jorge has good cardio but Tony is the guy that fought RDA at high altitude and still kept his trademark insane pace.
Tony Ferguson is just on another level of training, skill, fight IQ and cardio, no way in hell Masvidal can beat him without a lucky punch. El Cucuy is never inconsistent, hes no journeyman with 3 fight hype trains and then other 3 fight losing skids.
Jorge rips his head off. He’s a better more technical striker and Tony can’t take him down or hurt him. Bad night for Tony!
I like both guys alot actually but masvidal at 155 lacks the velocity that made him famous, and tony at 170 has knockout power. All things being equal Jorge is an impressive pressure counter fighter, but tony is the most well rounded fighter in the game (yes even over jon jones when he's not pulsing).
I think there is a limit to what any fighter can handle for 25 minutes straight and khabib is likely the only guy who has a shot at winning enough rounds to compete with Tony based on styles (but I doubt it).
At 155 tony by decision respect to masvidal, at 170 tony by tko
Why the fuck are there so many threads about this? Tony is not moving up to WW.
He already said that's what's next for him so you're wrong.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he kept moving up in weight until he retires an old man. This is what he does
It's funny - I have had this feeling for like the last 3 years with Tony. He just gets hit SO much and sometimes dropped, it feels inevitable that he will eventually be KO'd.
However - he seems to just keep winning in brutal devastating fashion.
Masvidal fishing to hook up Tony hard and early, if it makes it past 2 Masvidal is getting the Nate Diaz treatment...
Jorge. He’s too good of a striker.
I saw an interview when Tony basically said leaving his chin out high gives his opponents the bait, swing hard and often, that’s part of his game plan... that’s some Justin Gaejthe shit, I’m a big Ferg fan and unfortunately that tactic while successful thus far will sooner or later bite him back like it did Justin.
Masvidal wins IMO.
