If you’re expecting luxury or amazing food I agree.

But the people here are better, unlike Dominican, Mexico, or any other place in the tropics you can actually walk around Cuba without worrying about getting robbed or kidnapped or killed. You can literally wander around the shadiest parts of Havana at 2 am, drunk, with gringo dollars sticking out of your pocket, and it’s a pretty safe bet that no one will touch you.

Try that in Santo Domingo, or Tijuana, or Kingston, or Rio....
