Yes it was. That's why he ran. He learned from his previous DUI. He's still in trouble though, just not as much. And for all we know he had some other things in his pocket besides a hand full of cash.

What Jones is facing right now is a felony.

Depends of how much contraband he had and how intoxicated he was. But hit and run is a felony in New Mexico and most likely the most serious crime committed that night

He probably did have something in his system, I fail to see why he would've run otherwise. And running away and evading the law until it was out of his system might very well be how he gets off lighter. Coke leaves the body fairly quickly actually.

Not that I have experience with either one, but I get the sense that when you're in legal trouble, rich-and-famous helps even more than black hurts.
