If DW is correct and that's a big IF is Jones stupid? DC is a far tougher fight on paper and makes less money in PPV sales.

Makes no sense. Jones is ducking Gus pure and simple.

If Jones WANTS the harder fight then how is he ducking the less difficult fight in Gustaffson.

If wanting to fight DC somehow equates to "ducking" Gus, I applaud Jones for it. Gus had his shot, DC is a VERY viable contender and he deserves his shot before Gus gets a second shot. Pretty simple.

I, and many others, prefer to see DC vs Jones before Jones vs Gus II. <-- bottom line though is we will get both of those fights eventually, as well as DC vs Gus. People need to exhibit a little patience for once.

I can only speak for what I see on forums and from the people I talk to in every day life, but I would say it is almost a dead split from what I've seen. I would say we could make a poll but the subject seems beat to death.

Champs being able to pick their favourite challenger is a bad thing. You can call it ducking or not, but it sets an awful precedent. I want the DC fight badly, but not like this.

Until he makes a statement. I have never heard of a professional fighter at any level really ducking a fight. He is negotiating for more $$$$$!. People always like to make negative comments. How can he be afraid? Hes already a millionaire, he could retire right now if he was afraid. Did St. Pierre retire because he is afraid?

Again. I guess they only squashed their beef for as long as Jones does what Dana wants.

There is a poll, and Gus is leading by a fair margin at this point. And Gus is also the one who has been promised titleshot next. And Jones himself promised he will fight Gustafsson right after Teixeira last fall when he denied the immediate rematch. And Cormier himself just said Gustafsson is the number 1 contender.

Jones and Gus have some unfinished business. Cormier fans needs patience here.
