Jones trashes DC on Instagram

Sure but he didn't have the strength and experience of knowing he can compete at the highest levels back when he was an Olympic wrestling and even in SF. Now he's an undefeated tournament champion and the biggest threat to Jones. That confidence should more than make up for jitters over a big fight.

I think you're wrong about Jones. You can see how hard he tries to be witty and relate to people, but he just fails repeatedly. Throwing shirts to a booing crowd isn't for the benefit of the few who might support him. It's to try to win over all the ones who don't like him. Same with filming his acts of charity.

He had competed in the olympics and won the SF tourney when he fought Mir, and he did pretty much nothing in that fight other than hold Mir against the cage because he said he had an adrenaline dump and octagon jitters. Not saying it WILL happen again, but it COULD given the hype of this fight and how amped he seems.

Jones, who knows. We're just guessing. For all the boos and stuff he still also has supporters, and it's hard to know for sure what's in his head. He says he wants to inspire people in a positive way, which may be true and part of why he does stuff like film a charitable act. He also acts pretty immature at times. I think he got pretty famous at a really young age and like a lot of other people has had a hard time adapting. That might not be everything that's going on, but I think it's some of it.

BS. Rampage at that time was a shell of his former self. He didn't deserve the title shot with two wins (one bs decision) and a win over Hamill following a loss to Rashad. UFC was propping him up because of his ability to sell tickets but no one expected him to do sh*t to Jones.

how revisionist. look at the posts in these threads.

And the poll says.... 36% for Rampage.

Quit suckin on Jones' fuzzy peaches, damn.

Usual wishful thinking of detractors hoping the guy they dislike loses. Rampage looked like shit against Evans, Machida, and Hamill, but he was expected to give Jones a good fight? Nonsense.

It was his frst title defense. He didnt have THAT many haters yet.

Rampage looked like shit vs Matt Hamill?

News to me. I saw the def guy feel power then fear. He didn't want to be there after getting hit. He went out on his shield vs Rich, it wasn't worth it to do that shit again. He didn't want to be in the same cage with Rampage.

At this point, feed them both to Gus. Getting tired of seeing their tough guy posturing and BMOC bravado. :icon_lol:

lol "face the crowd like a man" umm bro its a fucking staredown. Face your opponent like a man instead of being a coward for the majority of your career and looking at the audience

Jones is in that Lebron James when he signed with the Heat position. He wants to be liked but is forced to play the heel and is comming off unnatural because he's not built to play the villian role.
