Jones has also said his fiancée could prolly knock him out

Pay that man a base that brings him to 25 mill with 1mill ppv buys and let's get this fkn thing going! The UFC is busy fkng the dog and wasting OUR chance to see this fight.

Pay that man!

That's humble for him to say, can't believe he did. But a dude like Ngannou can also KTFO, Pico, so don't forget the humility!

Does it take 1 mil buys for the UFC to afford paying 25 million?

Are you basing that on anything or just being retarded?

Speaking of break... Jones can’t break a million.

LOL Jones has averaged 500K buys as a PPV headliner for a decade. That's better than everybody but the absolute biggest draws in combat sports.

Terence Crawford has never sold more than 200K PPV buys, and he makes more per fight than crossover star Ronda did to headline ESPN+ cards.

The fact that fans gleefully stick up for this kind of highway robbery never ceases to amuse me.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t get paid.

I think he should get a couple million for fighting. If he earned $2-$3 million per fight. They should double it.

I just don’t think he’s worth the $20-$30+ million he thinks he does.

I also think ALL fighters should be paid a lot more regardless of PPV sales.

Instead of that fat pink ape lining his pockets off their hard work.

Neither, you're not understanding. I suspect it's not an indication that you're retarded. Maybe you're just skimming the posts but I don't think there's any reason to characterize your miscomprehension.

I said pay him whatever it would take for him to reach a total of 25 mill on a hypothetical 1mill ppv buys.

What that means is assume this will do 1mill ppv buys. Figure out how much Jon would make from those 1mill ppv buys.

Next, subtract that amount from 25 million dollars.

Pay him, as guaranteed money, the difference between these two numbers.

So that if they hit 1 mill ppv as projected, he'd make 25 mill. If they hit less he'd make less. If they hit more he'd make more.

Adjust his base pay for the fight / show money / guaranteed money to be on scale to make him 25 mill on 1 mill ppv buys.

I mean Usman broke Colby's jaw, and he's "just" a decently powerful 170er.

Most heavyweights would probably fairly easy break a jaw, with Ngannou and Lewis probably turning it into bone dust.
What about DC

Good drop

He pretty explicitly says, "Hes prepared to be injured but he wants more money"
Thats not fear, that's plain old commons sense.

Great interview though. These fighters operate on a different level.

"Worse case scenario, Francis breaks bones in your face and Im prepared for that" .. Jesus.

Is that Steve-O from jackass?

Jones is beyond shook. Do I think UFC fighters deserve more money overall? Absolutely. Do I think that the only reason Jon isn't taking this is because he isn't being paid some arbitrary sum that no one's ever been paid? Not even for a second.

Jon is shook as fuck, it will be the first time he's an underdog in his career, and has a high chance of getting KTFO. He got offered 10 million and it's "not even close" or something. Jon already knows how MMA is structured currently and what the possibilities are. The truth is he doesn't sell anywhere near what Conor sells, so asking for Conor money doesn't make sense in the current context. He's not advocating for an overall change in the pay structure and never has. He's using the money excuse (which in itself is a valid argument) as a way to save face because he knows he is in danger and doesn't want to take the fight.
