it is sad. It was sad when Anderson did it to Sonnen and the UFC which forced him to take the Stann fight. It was sad when he tried to do it again to Sonnen but then had to take the fight. It was sad when he tried his best to do it to Weidman saying he was taking time off, then when Weidman announced surgery trying to rush back all of a sudden ready to fight. But thankfully the UFC held to their guns and made him fight Weidman.

what self-respecting fight fan would ever want a fighter to take that much time off? Especially the champion, when there are big fights to be had.?
 
I most certainly expect Jones to try a cowardly move like this..

Just hope Dana doesn't let him. Jones knows his time is almost up and will try anything to hold on to his belt just a little bit longer, regardless of how corwardly he comes across.

The last time Jones tried to stick it to the UFC, it resulted in 350K buys vs Glover Teixeira as opposed to at least 500K buys for a Gus rematch.
 
No. The purpose of MMA fights are for the entertainment of paying fans. His job is to entertain us and should fight regularly regardless of being the champ.
 
Jones should move to WSOF. Easier fights plus a chance to avenge the Hamil loss

Jones will fight twice a year like always. Should be fun fights.
 
DC is only getting better, Jones can run but he can't avoid the inevitable.
 
Im all for this, wait it out and have them fight for a useless interim to knock one of them off then only fight one to unify interim and "real" belts. What you other Jones disciple/sack hangers think?

He already used up all his credit when he got UFC 151 cancelled.
