Rakic Walker Alonzo reyes are finally the competition Jones was waiting for: young, tall, athletic. These are guys who match up well with Jones and are not at big physical disadvantage. It will be very interesting how Jones fights them, or maybe even if he fights them.

Its only a matter of time till someone Jones age or younger with DC's skills smashes him. Nobody in MMA stays on top forever. Knowing Jones track record, when his age starts to catch up to him, he will probably pulse to the gills and finally get the ban he deserved. But honestly, i would much rather see him get KTFO rather then a ban from MMA.

I don't think Jon is under any serious threat from father time right now in his career. Jon has only had 6 fights the past 5 years and when he does fight he doesn't really take a lot of damage either. His mileage is fine.

Jones doesn't seem motivated for an opponent unless there's a rivalry like Gus or DC.

With guys like OSP or Anthony Smith he does enough to clearly win the rounds but doesnt take any risks or try to finish.

I feel like Jones needs elite opponents so he can rise to the challenge. He's in his Rocky 3 cruising phase 'they weren't set ups, they was good fighters but they weren't killers'.

Jones is only 31 and has taken very little damage in his career, particularly when you consider two years of not fighting.

Rakic and Walker are both 27 and Reyes is 29. The age gap is very narrow - but the skill gap isn’t. They will all take an L if they make it to Jones - at some point people will learn.
