Jones needs to be humbled

I'm fine with a fighter having confidence and can understand the brawl with DC shoving him at the presser by the neck but he needs to be humbled. Bragging and saying DC felt weak is lame and if he doesn't get beat by DC I hope he gets koed by Gus so he'll learn some humility.

seeing jones take a one sided beating would be so satisfying. also seeing him mentally crumble afterwards will be great also. hopefully at that point he builds himself back up as an actual humble and respectful person instead of all the fake humble bullshit sprinkled on the caulky arrogant kid

It's going to take something brutal for him to learn humility. It will probably come with age.

He thought the reason he had trouble in the Gus fight was because he wasn't motivated, had a rough training camp and then only fought at 80% and still won.

Then he goes on to destroy Glover for 5 rounds and end his 20 fight unbeaten streak.

Now at the presser, he gets on top of DC and throws some punches while thinking DC felt weak. He keeps getting his ego stroked and it's growing his confidence. It's just going to make his fall that much more rewarding.

Jones' "warcry" at the end of the brawl was a bit face-palmy to me.

McGregor taking selfies during brawl made me laugh. Would have been funnier if Jones had taken a pic after DC fell off the stage with the bouncer.

yeah he should get humbled. taking a 5-round beating by DC, getting dropped multiple times then finished by strikes by Gustafsson, and then losing for a 3rd time in a row, this time to someone not in the top 5, would be very humbling. or Jones could just come to the realization that he's a hypocrite and start being a better person.

but neither will happen anytime soon, unfortunately, for his sake and for all the causes he claims to represent.

Jones is simply an exceptional fighter but his character is seriously deficient. he's a clear champion in MMA but his maturity is lagging sorely behind.
