The last couple of outings outline why I dont think we will see Jon compete at HW.

He has not (to my knowledge) ever had any cutting issues, seems to hit 205(204.5 last night) easily, and his lack of punching power will be a real issue at HW.

He doesnt carry fight altering power, coupled with his inability of late to implement his wrestling successfully against LHWs.

I used to believe he could bulk up a bit and walk through the elite at HW, but I dont see it based on how he has performed recently.

Thoughts?

I don't see it happening, and if it does I don't see it going well.

He lost his mental edge that he had for juicing all those years.
He was always super skilled...but now he probably phyiscally feels like a 60 year old grandma with no power.
He got trigger shy...all that octagon control but he still let Reyes circle away.
If Stipe goes to his 242-245 weight...I doubt Jon walks him down and picks him apart from distance.

Think it showed why Jones for all his recent talk isn't going to ever move up to HW. Guy's invincible aura is long gone.
