This is just pathetic. These Jones haters and desperate McGregor fans are arguing they would rather watch a meaningless NON-TITLE fight, then the two of the best LHW's in HISTORY duke it out in a rematch where both sides legitimately hate each other.

Let's make some quick comparisons here.

Rematch: Both
Fighters with better records: Jones vs. DC
Total losses: DC /Jones =2 McGregor/Diaz =13
Total wins: 39-38
Fighters with legit beef: Jones vs. DC
Title on the line: Jones vs. DC
Fighter considered the GOAT: Jones vs. DC
Fight with historical significance: Jones vs. DC

It's not even close people. Jones vs. DC is the clear fight to headline UFC 200. If you want to watch a meaningless McGregor rematch for UFC 200 (which is supposed to be a historic event) over two of the best fighters EVER!!! Yes I said it (if not for Jones DC would be well on his way to being the GOAT) then you're full of shit.

McGregor has been exposed as a guy who cuts down from 175+ to make 145 and fight guys way smaller then him. Hell guys like Chad Mendes and Frankie Edgar could make 135 if they really wanted to. Once McFraud faces someone his own size he gets absolutely embarrassed and all of a sudden he can't do publicity.

Two,top p4p fighters fighting for a belt is far better than some sh#tty pointless rematch.

I understand that alot of people wanted to see Diaz McGregor 2 but for a replacement fight their is just no way that people arent happy with this fight
 
As far as fighting goes, it's far superior. I believe the angle is it won't sell as many PPVs or something.

UFC 200 will get worst ratings, PPV buys and most importantly worse popcorn with Jones vs. DC as headliner and it's not even debatable.

I could care less about everything else, like skill and shit but only by a tiny little bit.
 
Fact is McGregor generates excitement for an event. That's what's worse. The lack of it feeling like a huge event, because the biggest stars aren't there. Cormier/Jones is a great fight, but you don;t feel the same level of anticipation for it, and the numbers make that clear.

And McGregor did not say he wouldn't do publicity. The issue was taking a 20 hour flight to Vegas. He was going to do everything else, such as the stuff in New York.
 
Calling him McFraud is just embarrassing. Sets the tone for your thread.
 
I wouldnt be surprised if Conor did this stunt on purpose so he could get more grappling training.
 
This one will get cancelled anyway due to some renegade behaviour or injury

But, I think it will do better than some think (over a million buys for sure).
 
Yeah, Jones vs dc is a more important fight for sure. And I for one am excited about it.

But conor/Nate is a more exciting fight because of the way they fight and the stylistic matchup.

The casuals pretty much dictate matchups at this point anyways and the ppv numbers are gonna take a huge hit by dropping conor.

Jones/Cormier 1 did half the buys of conor/nate 1, didn't sell out the arena, and had lower ticket prices. Lol
 
Wouldn't Jones haters want that fight to happen. Hoping DC beats Jones ? If Jones doesn't fight he can't lose.

More hype brought to the event as a whole: McGregor/Diaz (but I'm really comparing the individuals here (McGregor), not the fights)

Your 8 categories and my 4 don't all have the same value. I care more about the things I listed than the things you listed. That's why I prefer McGregor/Diaz, and it isn't close. I'm actually more interested in Weidman/Rockhold 2 and Aldo/Edgar 2 than Jones/DC 2. I don't dislike the fight, but it isn't particularly special, and shouldn't be headlining what's supposedly "the biggest UFC event of all time".

I reeeeally wanted Conor Nate TBH but it will still happen. Not that excited about Bones Cormier would've prefered Bones Anthony or Bones at heavyweight v Cain.

Cormier has already proven he is not as good as Jones & whats left to see?

Well, personally I find Conor vs Nate II intriguing and would like to see it. However, I would much more love to see Jones vs Cormier II, it's a much more important fight in the history of MMA.

Having said, that of course Conor fans would rather see him fight Diaz. Of course, they would prefer it to Jones VS Cormier. It's a personal preference. No need to get bent out of shape about it. Everyone has their own personal liking.

I think its more about the guys that say "its a shit card"
I mean three title fights, twp P4P best, plus Cain all on one card is pretty stacked
 
Idk why anyone in their right mind would campaign for a guy who got lost for a meaningless rematch
