Can't all move up like Khabib did and fi.........oh wait, nevermind.
There is a reason Israel moved up when Jan was the 205 champ and not Jones

Jones has been mostly unimpressive against underwhelming opponents. Whenever he felt like he truly had something to prove, Gus 2, the two DC fights, he came out and destroyed.
Reyes wonJon has never lost a fight outside of the dq loss. People can cry he lost to such and such but the reality is he didn't.
I'm not arguing he lost, I think he beat both Santos and Reyes. My point is he was very unimpressive while doing so, and he has been for a long while.Jon has never lost a fight outside of the dq loss. People can cry he lost to such and such but the reality is he didn't.
Sherdog has some really linear thinkers. He's winning so he must be in his prime! Like its impossible to see signs of decline, even though a fighter is still good enough to win.I'm not arguing he lost, I think he beat both Santos and Reyes. I agree. How people constantly defend him is beyond meTL;DR: Jon Jones is nowhere near as good as people make him out to be anymore and if he wasn't Jon Jones nobody would talk him up like he's a world beater anymore.
Come on. Talk all you want about Jones' prime because he was a monster, but his prime has been clearly OVER for at least 5 years. When was the last time you watched Jon Jones fight and say "Oh my god, this dude is amazing and nobody is on his level" like you did when he wrecked Shogun or choked out Machida? It certainly wasn't recently. His last finish without testing positive for PEDs (DC 2 and Gus 2 off a Picogram don't count) was against a washed MW in Chael Sonnen in 2013 for crying out loud. He needed to juice twice, likely thrice to beat a fat manlet. Since 2015, he looked remarkably unimpressive vs a gatekeeper in OSP, popped for roids against DC, beat an older, shopworn Gus after testing positive and getting an entire event moved, beat .500 fighter and overachiever Anthony Smith (likely his best performance in the past 3 years) scraped past a MW with a bum knee, and a high school baseball player built like a swimmer. While I think he won those fights barely, I'm not sure if he gets the nod if he's not JBJ. He's a boring pointfighter who can barely win decisions against dudes who literally get wrecked in their next fight or 2. Jones is not a world beater anymore, he will get wrecked at HW, and he's not P4P top 5 anymore, nor has he been for half of a decade.
And cheated. Let's not forget that part...Jones has been mostly unimpressive against underwhelming opponents. Whenever he felt like he truly had something to prove, Gus 2, the two DC fights, he came out and destroyed.
It might but I'm not sure why people assume it would. Hw has fighters with reach closer to his own, that are more durable with far more power. With his wrestling not looking good for years, I wouldn't be surprised if he has nothing to stop guys from closing the distance and blasting himThere’s the “he fights to the level of his competition” argument. Personally, I think he’s just not in his prime anymore. He has like 26 UFC fights or some shit. He’s got some mileage on him. HW may suit him well.
Reyes won
what exactly does him being rich have to do with how good of a fighter he still is? lolReality says he won all of those fights and we'll he is still rich and fighting so guess he is doing fine
